Mining is a process of exploring, digging, separating and transporting the earth’s minerals. The minerals and resources includes gold, zinc, lead, nickel, uranium, tungsten, diamonds, silicon, or coal. These minerals and Resources are of great demand by the people around the world. Most of the mining jobs are performed in buildings, enclosed equipments or underground areas so that they are not affected by the weather conditions. The jobs basically involves a lot of noise with the usage of large equipments. The employees work for more than eight hours per day in shifts round the year. In fly in fly out mines workers works in twelve hours shifts round the week and stays in camp fr two weeks and then are flown out on an off for two weeks. Different mines have different time schedules for camp. Mostly jobs are year round permanent jobs. The wages reflects competition. Mostly May and October involves all the mineral exploration field work. An advanced exploration project involves100 people while it is reduced to 2 for a little project. In winters diamond drilling and bulk sampling is performed. Work is performed on lands and workers live in tents. The explorers of the mining industry are the people who like to work Outdoors.

Reports show that 70,000 workers are needed in mining industry and it is a good time to enter a mining industry. Many roasters are offered to the workers based on their requirement like 8 days on and 6 days off or one choose to live in the mining town, or supporting the local community and return home each night.
