Mining Jobs in Western Australia

The only industry that has been reporting profits this fiscal year that has been hit by the biggest economic recession ever has been the mining industry. It is of notable mention that the mining companies in Western Australia or WA have been expanding their operations at a very fast rate.  WA is the largest mining area in the whole of Australia. Since most of the mines in Western Australia are in the outback region of Australia, they are sparsely populated. This means that they are always opportunities waiting for one in the WA mines and with the current expansion plans of the mining companies in WA, the demand for skilled and semi-skilled labour is increasing at a tremendous rate.

Being in the outback means that the WA miners can earn somewhere more than $90,000 every year. Some of the primary mining locations in WA include Perth, Kalgoorlie, Broome and Port Headland. The mines in these areas have large number of open positions for field assistants, trades assistants, drillers, operators, mine engineers, geologists, chefs or cooks, housekeepers, plant operators, administrators, dump truck drivers, civil and mechanical engineers, metallurgists and environmentalists. Most of these positions are located near the towns like Kalgoorlie, Perth, Port Headlans, and Broome. In almost all these mines, workers stay in mining camps built near mines specifically for this purpose. Thus, there is a huge demand for housekeepers, cooks, kitchen staff, and cleaners.
