All types of Administration jobs are available from HR managers, office clerks, personal assistants, office planners, secretaries, and telephone operators.

Drill and Blast personnel are needed as well in the mining industry in Australia. This is a great way to enter the industry as there are entry level mining jobs like offsiding roles on the RC rigs or work in the bomb crew or learn to operate the drill rigs like a Tamrock that drill the blasts holes. If you start in the bomb crew you work under the shot firers which you can be promoted later after proving yourself. The shot firer is a great role as the work is not too physical and you get paid well. Its also interesting work as you are dealing with explosives in large quantities and spend all day blowing rocks up for the shovel / digger operator and dump truck driver operators to harvest and transport back to the processing plant or to the waste dump.

For people interested in rocks and not so heavy labour, working under a geologists as a field assistant, in the mining industry is a good unskilled mining job. Normally, a field assistant takes on a variety of tasks prior to the actual mining of an area. There is good flexibility in a field assistants daily job. The work scenery is often changing and there is good room to get promoted with experience field assistants earning 400 dollars plus a day with free food and accommodation. A field assistant role is a great no experience mining jobs that are available in the mining industry..

Don't set your goals to high, focus on getting in the industry first. Contact contracting firms that either provide services or products to the mining industry as they normally have time to provide training.
